Diagnostic Aids

Inspect the component for wear or damage: B5 Wheel Speed Sensor.
Do NOT use a magnet to clean the component: Encoder Ring.
Inspect the following components: B5 Wheel Speed Sensor = Correct part.
If the customer comments that the ABS indicator is ON only during moist environmental conditions (rain, snow, vehicle washed), inspect the wheel speed sensor wiring for signs of water intrusion.
