Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following component/system : HO2S Heater
- If a related DTC is set
Refer to : Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step : If a related DTC is not set
- If a related DTC is set
- Verify the condition does not exist :
- B52 Heated Oxygen Sensor - Water intrusion @ Harness Connector
- Coolant consumption - Refer to : Loss of Coolant
- Engine - Vacuum leak
- Engine Oil - Oil consumption - Refer to : Oil Consumption Diagnosis
- Evaporative Emission Canister - Saturated with fuel
- Exhaust System - Cracked/Leaking/Loose Clamps/Missing components/Restricted - Refer to : Symptoms - Engine Exhaust
- Fuel - Contaminated/Poor Quality - Refer to : Alcohol/Contaminants-in-Fuel Diagnosis
- Fuel Injectors - Restricted/Stuck - Refer to : Fuel Injector Diagnosis (NTB) , or Fuel Injector Diagnosis
- Fuel Pressure - High/Low - Refer to : Fuel System Diagnosis
- If a condition exists
Repair or replace as necessary.
- Go to next step : If no condition exists
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the appropriate component : B52 Heated Oxygen Sensor
- Go to next step : If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
