Circuit/System Verification
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P00EA, P00EB, P00EC, P0097, P0098, P0099, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0641, P0651, P0697, P06A3, P06D2 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to : Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step : If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Verify the following parameters are within 25°C (45°F) of each other :
- Start-Up IAT Sensor 1
- Start-Up IAT Sensor 2
- Start-Up IAT Sensor 3
- If not in the specified range
- {Start-Up IAT Sensor 1}Refer to : DTC P0112, P0113, or P0114
- {Start-Up IAT Sensor 2}Refer to : DTC P0097-P0099 or P00F4-P00F6
- {Start-Up IAT Sensor 3}Refer to : DTC P00EA-P00EC
- Go to next step : If in the specified range
- Engine - Idling
- Verify the scan tool parameter : = -39 to 149°C (-38 to 300°F) and changes
- IAT Sensor 1
- IAT Sensor 2
- IAT Sensor 3
- If not in the specified range or does not change
- {IAT Sensor 1 }Refer to : DTC P0112, P0113, or P0114
- {IAT Sensor 2}Refer to : DTC P0097-P0099 or P00F4-P00F6
- {IAT Sensor 3}Refer to : DTC P00EA-P00EC
- Go to next step : If in the specified range and changes
- Verify the appropriate scan tool parameter :
- IAT Sensor 1
- IAT Sensor 2
- IAT Sensor 3
Perform the action while monitoring the parameter :
- Wiggle the harness and connector : B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
- Wiggle the harness and connector : X1 & X2 & X3 @ K20 Engine Control Module
- If the value spikes or drops out
Repair as necessary - Wiring / Terminal(s) / Electrical Connector(s)
- Go to next step : If the value does not spike or drop out
- All OK.
NOTE:
To minimize the effects of residual engine heat and heating elements inside the sensor, perform step 3 of this procedure only if the ignition has been Off for longer than 8 h.
