Installation Procedure

Timing Chain Tensioner Shoe(2) - Install
- Timing Chain Tensioner Shoe Bolt(1) - Install and tighten25 N.m (18 lb ft)
Install a NEW gasket.(2)
- Timing Chain Tensioner(1) - Install
- Timing Chain Tensioner Bolt(4) - Install and tighten25 N.m (18 lb ft) [2x].
- Remove the suitable tool (3) from the timing chain tensioner.
Remove the EN-51367 holder (1).
- Timing Chain Upper Guide - Install - Timing Chain Upper Guide Replacement
- Check the position of the crankshaft, camshaft and camshaft position actuator adjuster.
- NOTE:
If the EN-51367 holder (1) can be installed, the engine timing is properly adjusted. If the EN-51367 holder (1) can not be installed, confirm the engine is set to cylinder 1 top dead center (TDC) of combustion stroke.
Install the EN-51367 holder (1).
- Remove the EN-51367 holder.
- Remove the TEMPORARILY installed engine front cover and crankshaft balancer.

- Front Wheelhouse Liner-Right Side - Install - Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Equinox)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Terrain)
- Camshaft Cover - Install - Camshaft Cover Replacement

NOTE:
Right Side
