Installation Procedure

Ensure that the timing chain oil nozzle is clean and free of debris. Camshaft Timing Chain and Sprocket Cleaning and Inspection

CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

Install the timing chain oil nozzle (1). Tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

Inspect the timing chain marks to confirm they remained aligned after engaging the timing chain tensioner.
Using a suitable tool, rotate the crankshaft one complete engine cycle then verify the timing chain marks (1, 2 and 3) are aligned properly.
