Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- NOTE:
Ensure the actuator timing marks are approximately the 12 O'clock position.
Timing Chain(1) - Install
Ensure that the colored link (3) matches to the arrow on the crankshaft sprocket.
- Ensure that the colored links (1, 2) match to the marks on the camshaft position adjuster actuators.
Install a NEW gasket.(2)
- Timing Chain Tensioner(1) - Install
- Timing Chain Tensioner Bolt(4) - Install and tighten25 N.m (18 lb ft) [2x].
Timing Chain Tensioner Shoe(2) - Install
- Timing Chain Tensioner Shoe Bolt(1) - Install and tighten25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Remove the suitable tool from the timing chain tensioner.
Remove the EN-51367 holder (1).
- Timing Chain Upper Guide Replacement - Install
- Check the position of the crankshaft, camshaft and camshaft position actuator adjuster.
Install the EN-51367 holder (1).
- If the EN-51367 holder (1) can be installed, the engine timing is properly adjusted.
- Remove the EN-51367 holder.
- Remove the engine front cover and crankshaft balancer.

- Camshaft Cover Replacement - Install
