Removal Procedure

- Air Cleaner Assembly - Remove - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly - Remove - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement
- Vacuum Pump Assembly - Remove - Vacuum Pump Assembly Replacement
Remove the wiring harness fastener (1) then reposition the wiring harness (2) as needed.
Engine Wiring Harness Bolt(1) - Remove
- Engine Wiring Harness Retainer(2) - Remove [2x]
- Electrical Connector(3) - Disconnect
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct@Turbocharger - Remove - Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
- NOTE:
The positive crankcase ventilation valve and tube assembly (2) are not reusable. If reinstalling the camshaft cover, do not remove the PCV valve and tube assembly (2) from the camshaft cover.
Remove the PCV valve tube fastener (1).
- Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe - Remove - Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LYX)Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LTG)
- Engine Lift Rear Bracket - Remove - Engine Lift Rear Bracket Replacement
- Remove the oil level indicator.
- NOTE:
Remove the camshaft cover with the PCV tubes attached.
Camshaft Cover(4) - Remove - Camshaft Cover Removal
- If reinstalling the camshaft cover, clean and inspect the cover, replace seals, gaskets and transfer components as needed.
- If replacing the camshaft cover, remove the following:
- Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve - Intake - Remove - Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement - Intake
- Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve - Exhaust - Remove - Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement - Exhaust
- Camshaft Position Sensor - Remove - Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Intake
- Camshaft Position Sensor - Remove - Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Exhaust
- Camshaft Position Actuator Locating Pin Control Valve - Remove - Camshaft Position Actuator Locating Pin Control Valve Replacement
