Removal Procedure

- Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe@Vacuum Pump Assembly - Disconnect - Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (LYX) , or Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (LTG)
- Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube@Throttle Body - Disconnect - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement
Remove the vacuum pump bolts (1).
Remove the vacuum pump (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the vacuum pump gasket (2).
- Inspect the vacuum pump seal (3) and replace if necessary. Vacuum Pump Seal Replacement
If replacing the vacuum pump, turn the NEW vacuum pump shaft (1) to match the position of the OLD vacuum pump shaft to allow proper alignment with the engine camshaft.
