Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Replacement

WARNING:

The automatic transmission fluid accumulator may be pressurized greater than 120 psi (827 kpa) and fluid may be hot. When servicing accumulator, key must be OFF for a minimum of 10 minutes. Do not open bleeder screw until instructed to do so or personal injury may result.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Battery Tray Replacement
  2. Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement  - Disconnect
1 A/Trans Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Pipe Bolt [2x]
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
22N.m (16 lb ft)
2 A/Trans Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Pipe
3 A/Trans Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Bolt [3x]
Tighten 
22N.m (16 lb ft)
4 A/Trans Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Assembly

Procedures

  1. Disconnect/connect the electrical connector.
  2. Replace seals as necessary.
  3. Check the transmission fluid level. Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
