Removal Procedure
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
CAUTION:
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
Remove the left rear brake pipe fitting (1) from the rear brake hose assembly.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Remove the right rear brake pipe fitting (2) from the rear brake hose assembly.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Remove the rear brake hose assembly bracket bolt (1).
Remove the right rear brake pipe fitting (1) from the rear brake hose assembly.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Remove the left rear brake pipe fitting (2) from the rear brake hose assembly.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- NOTE:
The brake hose assembly fittings are indexed for proper assembly.
Remove the rear brake hose assembly clips (1) and remove the rear brake hose assembly from the rear axle bracket.
