Removal Procedure
- Remove the brake pedal position sensor. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
Remove the brake pedal pushrod bolt (1) and bushing (2).
- Disconnect the brake pedal pushrod from the brake pedal.
Remove the left side power brake booster nuts (1).
Remove the right side power brake booster nuts (1).
Disconnect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) from the power brake booster and position aside.

- Remove the brake master cylinder. Brake Master Cylinder Replacement
- Carefully pull the power brake booster away from the dash panel and remove the power brake booster.
NOTE:
Do not allow the master cylinder flexible brake pipes bend beyond a 76 mm (3 in) radius to prevent internal failure of the flexible brake pipes.
