Pickup Box Endgate Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Open and support the endgate.
3. Remove the 2 endgate cable bolts from the body side. Endgate Cable Replacement 

Procedure

1. With the aid of an assistant, position the endgate about halfway open, lift the right edge of the tailgate from the lower pivot.
2. On vehicles with the endgate assist feature, raise the endgate nearly all the way to the closed position prior to removing the left edge.
3. Transfer all components as necessary.
