NOTE:
The chrome rim surrounding the shift boot is part of the wood trim plate and is NOT removed with the boot. The release tabs are part of the boot - to release the boot, insert a plastic flat bladed tool between the boot and chrome rim, NOT the chrome rim and wood trim plate. Procedure Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retainer securing the control lever boot. |
| 2 | Electrical Dock & Lock Connector
NOTE:
Use a minimal twisting motion while pulling up to remove the control lever knob from the shaft. Procedure Lift the transmission control lever knob straight up to disconnect the electrical connector. |
