Removal Procedure
- Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
Disconnect the electronic transmission range selector manual park release cable (3) from the transmission manual shift lever (2).
- Remove the bolt (1) retaining the electronic transmission range selector manual park release cable to the cable bracket.
- Remove the electronic transmission range selector manual park release cable from the transmission.
- Remove the left front floor console extension panel. Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side (GMC)
Remove the body control module shield (1)
Move the floor carpet and insulation in order to gain access to the electronic transmission range selector manual park release cable grommet nuts (1).
- Remove the grommet fasteners (1) and the electronic transmission range selector manual park release cable grommet from the cowl panel.
Remove the electronic transmission range selector manual park release cable handle retaining bolt (1).
- Remove the electronic transmission range selector manual park release cable from the vehicle.
