Control Valve Body Installation

NOTE: Callouts items in the following chart represent components shown in graphic above.
Control Valve Body Installation

Callout Component Name
1 1-2-3-4 Low and Reverse Clutch Fluid Passage Seal [5x]
Procedure 
Install NEW seals. Do NOT reuse old seals.
2 Control Valve Body
CAUTION:

The park release lever must be in the park position to align properly with the piston switch opening prior to Installation of the control valve body. Failure to align the components properly may result in damage to the parking servo piston switch.

Procedure

  1. Place the Park Release Lever in the park position.
  2. The piston switch opening must be positioned correctly. Use appropriate tool to position opening if necessary.
  3. Carefully place the Control Valve Body in the transmission insuring the Park Release Lever aligns inside the Parking Servo Position Switch opening indicated by arrow.
3 Control Valve Body Bolt [5x]
Tighten in sequence 
8 N.m (71 lb in)
