Component Testing

  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Remove the component: Transmission Cover
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector: X1 @ T12 Automatic Transmission Assembly
  4. Test for 45 to 44, 000 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 23 & Low Reference terminal 22
    • If not between 40 and 45, 000 ohms 

      Replace the component: B13 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor

    • Go to next step: If between 40 and 45, 000 ohms 
  5. Verify the value is within the range listed in the table: Refer to: Temperature Versus Resistance
    • If not in the specified range 

      Replace the component: B13 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor

    • Go to next step: If in the specified range 
  6. All OK.
