Installation Procedure

    Brake Master Cylinder Bracket (2) - Install NEW

    2. NOTE:

    Refer to the procedure link for torque specification.

  2. Brake Master Cylinder Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Brake and Accelerator Pedal Assembly Replacement (GMC without JEO) , or Brake and Accelerator Pedal Assembly Replacement (with JEO)

    Brake PedalRetainer (1) - Install NEW

    Brake Master Cylinder (1) - Install

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

    Brake Master Cylinder Bracket Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Wiring Harness Clip (1) - Secure

    Brake Master Cylinder Bracket Nut (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  8. Connect the electrical connector. (1)
  9. Remove the plugs from the brake master cylinder ports and the brake pipes.

    Brake Pipe Fitting (2) - Install and tighten [4x] 18 N.m (13 lb ft)

  11. Connect the electrical connector. (1)

    Turbocharger Outlet Duct Connector (1) - Remove - Turbocharger Outlet Duct Connector Replacement

    Air Cleaner Outlet Intermediate Duct (1) - Remove - Air Cleaner Outlet Intermediate Duct Replacement

  14. Radiator Surge Tank - Install - Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LCV) , or Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LGX without C69) , or Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LSY) , or Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LGX with C69)

    Brake PedalRetainer (1) & Brake Pedal (2) @Power Brake Booster Pushrod - Secure

  16. Floor Front Air Outlet Duct - Left Side - Install - Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (LHD)
  17. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  18. Perform the necessary programming and setup procedure: Control Module References
  19. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual without JEO) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure without JEO) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure with JEO) 
  20. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling 
  21. Check for brake system leaks.
