Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Inspect for Leaks - Brake System Hydraulic Brake System Diagnosis 
  3. Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 5 min
  4. Ignition/Vehicle - On - For greater than 60 s - Brake Pedal Not Applied
  5. Apply and hold the brake pedal.to half stroke - For greater than 2 s
  6. Slowly release the brake pedal.
  7. Verify DTC C055F is not set.
    • If the DTC is not set 

      All OK.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC sets 
  8. Perform the scan tool control function: Brake Master Cylinder Pressure Test
    • If the procedure/test passes 
    1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 5 min
    2. Ignition/Vehicle - On - For greater than 60 s - Brake Pedal Not Applied
    3. Apply and hold the brake pedal.to half stroke - For greater than 2 s
    4. Slowly release the brake pedal.
    5. Verify DTC C055F is not set.
      • If the DTC sets

        Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder

      • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
    6. All OK.
    • Go to next step: If the procedure/test does not pass 
  9. Bleed the brake system.Refer to: Automated Brake Bleed 
  10. Perform the scan tool control function: Brake Hydraulics Test
    • If the procedure/test does not pass 
  11. Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder
    • Go to next step: If the procedure/test passes 
  12. Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 5 min
  13. Ignition/Vehicle - On - For greater than 60 s - Brake Pedal Not Applied
  14. Apply and hold the brake pedal.to half stroke - For greater than 2 s
  15. Slowly release the brake pedal.
  16. Verify DTC C055F is not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  17. All OK.
