Removal Procedure
WARNING:
- Turn the engine OFF.
- Apply and release the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the power brake booster vacuum reserve.
- Remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir.
Brake Master Cylinder (1) - Remove - Brake Master Cylinder Replacement (Holden)
- NOTE:
Some components not shown for graphic clarity.
NOTE:Do NOT loosen the power brake booster bolts completely.
Power Brake Booster Bolt (1) - Loosen [2x]
- Brake Pedal Position Sensor - Remove - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
- Accelerator Pedal with Position Sensor Electrical Connector - Disconnect
- With the aid of an assistant, hold the power brake booster away from the dash panel.
Release the brake pedal push rod retainer (1) from the brake pedal push rod (2) by pulling the brake pedal rearward.
- Completely loosen the 2 power brake booster bolts.
Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove
Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Reposition the brake and accelerator pedal assembly and release the wire harness retainer.
- Brake Pedal Assembly - Remove
Brake Pedal Push Rod Retainer (1) - Remove and DISCARD
- Transfer components as necessary.
