Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Brake Fluid Irritant Warning

CAUTION:

Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution

  1. Apply and release the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the power brake booster vacuum reserve.
  2. Remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir.

    Disconnect the electrical connectors. (1)

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Master Cylinder Reservoir Front Brake Pipe Fitting (2) - Disconnect

  5. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  6. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Master Cylinder Reservoir Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect
  7. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]

    Brake Master Cylinder Assembly (1) - Remove

  10. Brake Master Cylinder Gasket - Remove and DISCARD
  11. Transfer components as necessary.
