Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Replacement (Terrain)

WARNING:

The automatic transmission fluid accumulator may be pressurized greater than 120 psi (827 kpa) and fluid may be hot. When servicing accumulator, key must be OFF for a minimum of 10 minutes. Do not open bleeder screw until instructed to do so or personal injury may result.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Battery Tray Replacement
  2. Range Selector Actuator Replacement 
1 Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Pipe Bolt [2x]
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2 Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Pipe
3 Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Bolt [3x]
Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
4 Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Assembly

Procedures

  1. Disconnect/connect the electrical connector.
  2. Replace seals as necessary.
  3. Check the transmission fluid level. Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
