Installation Procedure

- Lubricate the valve lifter follower (1) with engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Install the valve lifter follower into the cylinder head bore.
- Install the EN-51365 gauge (1).
- Rotate the crankshaft until the EN-51365 gauge (1) is flush with the cylinder head. This indicates the camshaft lobe is at base circle position.
- Remove the EN-51365 gauge (1).
- Install Fuel Pump - Fuel Pump Replacement
NOTE:
The camshaft must be in the base circle position before the high pressure fuel pump is installed.
