Installation Procedure

- Apply sealer (1) around the perimeter of the oil pan (2). Oil Pan Installation
- Coat the oil pan bolts (1) and (2) with sealant prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Loosely install the oil pan bolts.
- Tighten the oil pan bolts in sequence. Oil Pan Installation
- Install Torque Converter Cover (4)
- Install the transmission bolts. Transmission Replacement (Front Wheel Drive except Diesel Engine)Transmission Replacement (All Wheel Drive except Diesel Engine)
- Install Exhaust Front Pipe - Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LYX)
- Install Engine Oil Level Indicator Control Module Wiring Harness - Engine Oil Level Indicator Control Module Wiring Harness Replacement
- Change the engine oil and filter. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
NOTE:
Ensure that the different length bolts are installed in the same positions from which they were removed.
NOTE:
When installing the oil pan, carefully align the oil pan to the locating pins and install the pan onto the lower crankcase.
NOTE:
Inspect for excessive sealer around the oil filter mounting area. If extra sealer is present remove and clean
accordingly.
