Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Install Timing Chain Guide (2)
  2. Install Timing Chain Guide Fastener (1) and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  3. Release the tensioner plunger (1). Timing Chain Tensioner Replacement

  4. Inspect the timing chain marks (1, 2, and 3) to confirm they remained aligned after engaging the timing chain tensioner.

  5. Remove camshaft holding tool EN-51367  (1).
  6. Using a suitable tool, rotate the crankshaft one complete engine cycle then verify the timing chain marks are aligned properly.
  7. Install Engine Front Cover Replacement
