Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Install NEW oil pump seals (1).
- Tilt the oil pump assembly (1) in order to install the drive chain over the oil pump shaft sprocket.
- Install the oil pump fasteners (1). Tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
- If replacing the oil pump, install the oil pump flow control solenoid valve. Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Replacement
- Remove the suitable tool (2) to unlock the tensioner (1).
- Install Upper Oil Pan Replacement .
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
Ensure the oil pump assembly (2) is properly positioned. The fasteners should only be installed and tightened after the drive chain is correctly positioned on the sprocket.
