Removal Procedure

- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief
- Disconnect Fuel Feed Front Pipe (1) @ Engine Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement
- Recover the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a)Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf)
- Remove Intake Manifold Cover (3) - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
- Remove Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Replacement
- Remove Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement
- Remove Air Cleaner Assembly - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
- Remove Battery Tray (3)Battery Tray Replacement
- Remove Radiator Inlet Hose - Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LYX)
- Remove Radiator Outlet Hose - Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LYX)

- Disconnect Range Selector Lever Cable (1) @Transmission - Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement

- Remove Exhaust Front Pipe - Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LYX)
- Disconnect Air Conditioning Evaporator Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose@Air Conditioning Compressor - Air Conditioning Evaporator Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose Replacement (LYX)
- Disconnect Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe@Radiator Assembly - Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (MNH, MHG)Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (M3D, M3H, M3U)
- Remove Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft-Left Side - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side
- Remove Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft-Right Side - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (AWD)Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (M3U, MHG, MNH, MNK with FWD)Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (M3D, M3H with FWD)
- Remove Propeller Shaft -Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement
- Remove Intermediate Steering Shaft - Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (Equinox)Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (Terrain)
- Remove left and right side the stabilizer link nuts (1) then disconnect the links at the stabilizer. Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (Equinox)Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (Terrain)
- Remove the left and right side tie rod nuts (1), then disconnect the tie rods (2) from the steering knuckles. Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement
- Remove Evaporative Emission Front Hose - Evaporative Emission Front Hose Replacement
- Position a suitable engine table or equivalent under the cradle to support the cradle and powertrain.
- Remove Engine Mount Fastener - and DISCARD - Engine Mount Replacement
- Remove Transmission Mount Fastener (2) and DISCARD [3x] - Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side
- Remove bolts necessary to remove the cradle (1) (2) and (3). Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (All Wheel Drive)
- Disconnect electrical connections and reposition harnesses as needed.
- Carefully lower the engine table and raise the body on the hoist until the engine/transaxle and frame are separated from the vehicle.
- Separate the engine from the transmission. - Install the engine to a suitable engine stand.
NOTE:
Right side shown, left side is similar.

ONLY the fasteners (2) should be removed and DISCARDED
NOTE:
Use a suitable device to hold the cradle while removing the fasteners.
NOTE:
Remove ONLY the body to frame bolts as the powertrain will be removed while still bolted to the frame.
