Installation Procedure

- Install the transmission to the engine. - Position the powertrain and support table under the vehicle.
- Raise the powertrain into position under the vehicle.
- With the table positioned, if required, lower the vehicle over the powertrain.
- Install bolts (1) (2) and frame (3). Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (All Wheel Drive)
- Install Transmission Mount Fastener (2) - [3x] - Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side
- Install NEW Engine Mount Fastener - Engine Mount Replacement
- Remove the suitable engine table or equivalent from under the powertrain and cradle.
- Install Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft-Left Side - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side
- Install Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft-Right Side - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (AWD)Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (M3U, MHG, MNH, MNK with FWD)Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (M3D, M3H with FWD)
- Install Propeller Shaft - Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement
- Connect Intermediate Steering Shaft@Steering Gear - Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (Equinox)Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (Terrain)
- Connect the stabilizer links (2) and install nuts (1). Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (Equinox)Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (Terrain)
- Install the tie rod ends (2) then install nuts (1). Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement
- Install Evaporative Emission Front Hose - Evaporative Emission Front Hose Replacement
- Connect Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe@Radiator Assembly - Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (MNH, MHG)Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (M3D, M3H, M3U)
- Connect Air Conditioning Evaporator Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose@Air Conditioning Compressor - Air Conditioning Evaporator Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose Replacement (LYX)
- Connect Range Selector Lever Cable@Transmission - Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement
- Install Heater Inlet Hose - Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LYX AWD without KL9)Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LYX with KL9)
- Install Heater Outlet Hose - Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LYX without KL9)
- Install Radiator Inlet Hose - Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LYX)
- Install Radiator Outlet Hose - Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LYX)
- Install Battery Tray - Battery Tray Replacement
- Install Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe - Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (LYX)
- Install Air Cleaner Assembly - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
- Connect Fuel Feed Front Pipe @ Engine - Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement
- Install Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement
- Install Exhaust Front Pipe - Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LYX)
- Install Underbody Front Air Deflector - Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement (Equinox)Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement (Terrain)
- Install Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Replacement
- Install Intake Manifold Cover - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
- Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a)Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf)
- Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)
- If the engine is replaced with a new engine or has been overhauled, perform the engine prelubing procedure. Engine Prelubing
- If the engine has not been replaced or overhauled, check and correct engine oil level as needed. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
- Perform the crankshaft position variation learn. Crankshaft Position Variation Learn
NOTE:
Install the previously removed body to frame bolts to secure the frame and powertrain.
NOTE:
ONLY the fasteners (1) should be removed and DISCARDED

Prelube is necessary if the engine is replaced or overhauled.
