Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Crankshaft Position Sensor Reluctor Ring Replacement 
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Crankshaft Rear Oil Seals

    NOTE:

    The engine could be equipped with two different rear oil seal designs.

  2. Check which of the crankshaft rear oil seals (1, 2) is installed.

    CAUTION:

    Be careful that the crankshaft will not be damaged while the crankshaft rear oil seal is pulled out. Failing to do so may reduce the leak-tightness and could cause damage to the crankshaft.

    NOTE:

    Use a suitable tool to remove the seal.

  3. Remove Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal (2) @Crankshaft (1)
