Conditions for Setting the DTC

P040B, P041B 

The ECM detects that the EGR temperature sensor has not changed greater than a calibrated amount for greater than a calibrated amount of time following a cold start.

P040C, P041C 

The ECM detects that the EGR temperature sensor resistance is less than 147 Ω for greater than 5 s.

P040D, P041D 

The ECM detects that the EGR temperature sensor resistance is greater than 885 Ω for greater than 5 s.

P040E, P041E 

The ECM detects that the EGR temperature sensor resistance has changed greater than 25 Ω in 0.1 s.
