Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate B130 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor.
  2. NOTE:

The J 25070  may be used to evaluate the sensor under high temperature conditions.

  3. Verify the resistance between the signal circuit terminal 1 and the low reference circuit terminal 2 is within the range specified in the Temperature Versus Resistance (B13 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor) Table.
    • If not within the range specified

Replace the appropriate B130 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor.

    • Go to next step: If within the range specified
  4. Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the sensor housing/case.
    • If less than infinite resistance

Replace the appropriate B130 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance
  5. All OK
