Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Position aside Exhaust Front Pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LH7)
- Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe from the 2 retainer clips (1).
- Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe from the turbocharger wastegate actuator vacuum control solenoid valve (2).
- Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe from the exhaust gas recirculation vacuum regulator solenoid valve (3).
- Disconnect Fuel Return Front Pipe (2) @ Fuel Injection Pump. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Close all connections with suitable closure plugs.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors:
- Engine Oil Pressure Switch (3)
- Fuel Injection Pump (9)
- Starter (8)
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve (6)
- Remove Wiring Harness Clip (4)
- Hang the wiring harness (7) aside.
- Remove the 2 turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe bracket bolts (1, 5)
- Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe seal (2).
