• The crankshaft position is incorrect by greater than 2 crankshaft reluctor wheel teeth during 2 out of 3 auto-start events.
• The crankshaft position is incorrect by at least 1 crankshaft reluctor wheel tooth during 4 out of 5 auto-start events.

The crankshaft position sensor detects 3 or more engine rotation reversals within 10 s or less.
