Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Lubricate the NEW vacuum pump seal with clean engine oil before installing to the special tool.

  1. Install the NEW vacuum pump seal (1) to the DT-45866  installer (2).
    2. Fig 2: Vacuum Pump Seal

    NOTE:
    • The vacuum pump seal must NOT deform during the installation procedure.
    • Ensure the vacuum pump seal is FULLY seated into the camshaft cover.
  2. Use the DT-45866  installer to install the NEW vacuum pump seal (1) into the camshaft cover.
  3. Install Vacuum Pump Assembly - Vacuum Pump Assembly Replacement 
  4. Position the engine wiring harness junction block.
  5. Install Engine Control Module Bracket - Engine Control Module Bracket Replacement
