Removal Procedure

Brake Dust Warning

WARNING:

Brake Fluid Irritant Warning

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. GM4289797

    Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect

  4. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  5. GM4289799

    Brake Hose Bracket Nut (1) - Remove

  6. GM4281750

    Brake Hose Fitting Bolt (1) - Remove

  7. GM4281751
    NOTE:

    Do NOT reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets.

    Brake Hose Fitting Gasket (1) @ Brake Hose Fitting (2) - Remove and DISCARD (Qty: 2)

  8. Plug the brake caliper inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  9. Rear Brake Hose - Remove
