Installation Procedure

  1. GM4285112

    Brake Pedal Retainer (1) - Install NEW

  2. GM4285081

    Power Brake Booster Seal (1) - Install

  3. GM4285079
    NOTE:

    Align the power brake booster pushrod with the brake pedal retainer.

    Power Brake Booster (1) - Install

  4. GM4285076
    CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

    Power Brake Booster Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft) (Qty: 2)

  5. GM4419511

    Fuel Injector Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Secure

  6. Position the heater coolant pump to the transmission case.
  7. GM4325955

    {If equipped} Heater Coolant Pump Stud (1) - Install - Heater Coolant Pump Replacement (LCV)

    8. NOTE:

    Ensure the brake master cylinder gasket is positioned correctly against the master cylinder mounting flange.

  8. Position the master cylinder to the power brake booster.

    NOTE:

    Install NEW nuts.

    Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Install and tighten 49 N.m (36 lb ft) (Qty: 2)

  10. Connect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.

    Brake Pedal Retainer (1) & Brake Pedal (2) @ Power Brake Booster Pushrod - Secure

  12. Brake Pedal Position Sensor - Install - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement

    NOTE:

    A small amount of denatured alcohol may be used as a lubricant for assembly.

    Power Brake Booster Vacuum Sensor (1) - Install

  14. Power Brake Booster Vacuum Sensor Electrical Connector - Connect
  15. Reposition and install the radiator surge tank. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LGX with V08)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LCV)
