Removal Procedure

  1. Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
  2. Remove the battery tray. Battery Tray Replacement
  3. GM4363825

    Disconnect the transmission range selector lever cable terminal (1) from the transmission manual shift lever pin.

  4. Press the locking tabs inward in order to release the transmission range selector lever cable (2) from the cable bracket.
  5. Remove the left front floor console extension panel. Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side
  6. GM4364012

    Disconnect the transmission range selector lever cable terminal (2) from the shift lever pin.

  7. Release the transmission range selector lever cable retainer (1) and remove the transmission range selector cable from the transmission control lever base.
  8. GM4364081

    Move the floor carpet in order to gain access to the gear shift cable grommet (2).

  9. Remove the grommet fasteners (1) and the transmission range selector lever cable grommet from the cowl panel.
  10. Remove the transmission range selector lever cable from the vehicle.
