Q32A Shift solenoid Valve 1

Shift solenoid valve 1 is a normally closed On/Off solenoid valve. When commanded On, the solenoid valve directs fluid to the clutch select valve, which moves the valve in the stroked position. Fluid pressure from the R1/4-5-6 regulator valve is directed through the clutch select valve to the R1 clutch in the stroked position. When shift solenoid valve 1 is commanded Off, the clutch select valve returns to the normal position. This allows fluid from the R1/4-5-6 regulator valve to be directed to the 4-5-6 clutch.
