Preliminary Procedure Fill the adjusters with clean engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LF4)Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX) for recommended engine oil. Take precautions to prevent scratching the pivot sphere area of the. Lubricate the adjusters bores in the cylinder head with clean engine oil. Install the adjusters in the cylinder head. Apply a liberal amount of lubricant to the adjusters pivot spheres. NOTE: Do not stroke/cycle the adjusters without oil in the lower pressure chamber. Do not allow the adjusters to tip over, plunger down, after the oil fill.
