Removal Procedure

  1. Secondary Timing Drive Chain @ Right Side Remove - Secondary Camshaft Intermediate Drive Chain Replacement - Right Side (LF4) 
  2. Fuel Feed Front Pipe Remove - Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement
  3. Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Remove - Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement (LF4)
  4. Turbocharger @ Bank 1 Remove - Turbocharger Replacement (Bank 1) Turbocharger Replacement (Bank 2)

  5. Radiator Outlet Pipe Bracket Bolt @ Cylinder Head Assembly- Remove

  6. Cylinder Head Bolt - Remove and DISCARD
  7. Cylinder Head Assembly - Remove
  8. Remove Ground wire and harness and position aside.

  9. Cylinder Head Gasket - Remove and DISCARD
  10. Clean and inspect the cylinder head and the engine block sealing surfaces. Refer to Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection , and Engine Block Cleaning and Inspection .
  11. Disassemble the cylinder head as necessary. Refer to Cylinder Head Disassemble (LF4) .
