Installation Procedure

- Assemble the cylinder head as necessary. Cylinder Head Assemble (LGX)
- Ensure the cylinder head locating pins (5) are securely mounted in the cylinder block deck face.
- Install a NEW left cylinder head gasket (4) using the deck face locating pins for retention.
- Cylinder Head Assembly - Install - Cylinder Head Installation - Left Side (LGX)
- Camshaft Carrier-Left Side Install - Camshaft Carrier Removal - Left Side
- Camshaft-Left Side - Install - Camshaft Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
- Position wire harness and connect as necessary.
- Install ground wire and ground wire bolt. Tighten bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
- Oil Level Indicator Tube Install - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (LGX)
- Catalytic Converter-Left Side Install - Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
- Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Install - Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement (LGX)
- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Install - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Replacement
- Camshaft Timing Chain-Left Side Install - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
