Removal Procedure

  1. Secondary Timing Drive Chain @ Left Side Remove - Secondary Camshaft Intermediate Drive Chain Replacement - Left Side (LF4) 
  2. Fuel Pump Remove - Fuel Pump Replacement (LF4)
  3. Turbocharger @ Bank 2 Remove - Turbocharger Replacement (Bank 1) Turbocharger Replacement (Bank 2) 
  4. Oil Level Indicator Tube Remove Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (LF4) .
  5. Remove the ground wire bolt and ground wire.
  6. Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.

  7. Cylinder Head Bolt- Remove and DISCARD
  8. Cylinder Head Bolt- Remove and DISCARD
  9. Cylinder Head Assembly- Remove

  10. Cylinder Head Gasket- Remove and DISCARD
  11. Clean and inspect the cylinder head and the engine block sealing surfaces. Refer to Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection , and Engine Block Cleaning and Inspection .
  12. Disassemble the cylinder head as necessary. Refer to Cylinder Head Disassemble (LF4) .
