Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series)
2. Clean away all dirt and debris from the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (2) area.
3. Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug.
5. Remove the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (2).
6. Allow the system to drain.

CAUTION:

Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

1. Install the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (2) and tighten to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
2. Connect the electrical connector to the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug.
3. Fill the transmission with transmission fluid. Transmission Fluid Level Inspection (MG9) Transmission Fluid Level Inspection (M3L) 
4. Remove the drain pan.
5. Lower the vehicle.
