Draining Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series)
  2. Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (1).
  4. Remove the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (1).
  5. Allow the system to drain.
    6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  6. Install the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (1) and tighten to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug.
