6	3rd Speed Drive Gear Synchronizer Blocking Ring NOTE: Ensure the tabs on the blocking ring align with the corresponding pockets in the synchronizer hub.
7	3rd/4th Synchronizer Assembly NOTE: The groove on the sleeve faces the 3rd speed gear. Procedure Check the 3rd/4th speed gear synchronizer assembly scribe marks for correct position. Start the hydraulic press operation. STOP pressing before the keys engage the blocking ring slots. Lift and rotate the 3rd speed gear in order to engage the keys with the blocking ring. Continue pressing until the synchronizer is seated. Special Tools J-36183 Press Tube J-36184 Press Tube Adapter For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
