Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify that DTC P0641 is not set.
    • If DTC P0641 is not set  
  3. Place the gear shift lever in the neutral position.
  4. Verify the scan tool the Neutral Position Sensor parameter displays Neutral.
    • If the parameter does not display Neutral  

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter does display Neutral  
  5. Place the gear shift lever in 1st gear.
  6. Verify the scan tool Neutral Position Sensor parameter displays In-Gear.
    • If the parameter does not display In-Gear 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter displays In-Gear 
  7. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observe from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  8. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  9. All OK.
