Installation Procedure

- Front Suspension Strut - Install
- Partially lower the vehicle.
- Front Suspension Strut Upper Mounting Nut - Install, but do NOT tighten
- Raise the vehicle.
- Front Suspension Strut Bolt - Install
- Front Suspension Strut Nut - Install
Tighten
- First Pass: 150 N.m (111 lb ft)
- Final Pass: (80-95 degrees)
- Front Stabilizer Shaft Link @ Strut Assembly - Install Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (Non V-Series) Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (V-Series)
- Install the front brake hose clip (1) on the front strut assembly bracket. Front Brake Hose Replacement (JE5)Front Brake Hose Replacement (J55)Front Brake Hose Replacement (J6G)
- Install the front wheel speed sensor harness clip (3) in the front strut assembly bracket.
- Install the electronic suspension wiring harness clip (2) in the front strut assembly bracket and connect the electronic suspension wiring connector (1).

- Lower the vehicle completely.
- Front Suspension Strut Upper Mounting Nut - Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Install the front suspension strut mount upper cup (1).
- Install the front suspension strut bumper stop (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Wheel Alignment Measurement
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
CAUTION:
The front suspension strut mount upper cup MUST be fully seated within the strut tower and the front suspension strut bumper stop MUST be tightened to the correct specification. Do NOT over-tighten the stop or damage to the shock absorber will occur.
NOTE:
The front suspension strut bumper stop MUST be installed with vehicle resting completely on the ground. Do NOT attempt to tighten the stop with the wheels lifted.
