Installation Procedure

- Apply approximately 0.09-0.15 g (0.003-0.005 oz) of anti-seize lubricant to each end of the disc brake pad abutments (1) which contact the brake caliper. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Inspect the brake caliper pins and brake pad springs for damage or excessive corrosion and replace, if necessary.
- Outer Disc Brake Pad - Install
- Inner Disc Brake Pad - Install
- Disc Brake Pad Spring - Install
- Brake Pad Guide Pin <p01><p01> - Install
- Ensure the brake pad guide pins are fully seated in the brake caliper.
- Brake Caliper Guide Pin - Install
- Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt - Install 33 N.m (24 lb ft)
- Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Non V-Series)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series October 4th 2015 and Earlier)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series October 5th 2015 and Later) - Install
- With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
- Slowly release the brake pedal.
- Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 11-12 until a firm brake pedal apply is obtained; this will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
- Fill the master cylinder reservoir. Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling
- Burnish the brake pads and rotors. Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing
NOTE:
Do not allow the anti-seize lubricant to contact the disc brake pad friction surfaces.
