Removal Procedure

- Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Removal and Installation (V-Series)Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Removal and Installation (Non V-Series) Remove
- Engine Mount Bracket-Right Side - Remove - Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side (LF4)
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe @ Transmission Disconnect - Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LF4 With MG9)Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LF4 With M5U)
- Catalytic Converter - Remove - Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LF4)
- Starter - Remove - Starter Replacement (LF4 - Manual Transmission)Starter Replacement (LF4 - Automatic Transmission)
- Reposition the starter electrical wiring harness.
- Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Remove - Engine Oil Cooler Adapter Replacement (LF4)
- Radiator Outlet Hose - Remove - Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LF4)
- Radiator Outlet Pipe Bracket Bolt - Remove
- Heater Inlet Hose @ Heater Core Disconnect - Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LF4)
- Heater Outlet Hose @ Heater Core Disconnect - Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LF4)
- Disconnect the engine electrical wiring harness retainers (1) and reposition the harness.
- Radiator Outlet Pipe Bracket Bolt - Remove
- Radiator Outlet Pipe - Remove
- DISCARD the O-ring seal
NOTE:
Raise or lower engine and position to the left side as necessary.
