Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Install a NEW engine coolant thermostat gasket.

  1. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Gasket - Install
  2. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing - Install
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Bolt - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  7. Connect the engine electrical wiring harness (2) to the back of the engine.

  14. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) 
  15. Start the engine and check for leaks.
