Removal Procedure

WARNING:
In order to avoid being burned, do not service the exhaust system while it is still hot. Service the system when it is cool.
WARNING:
Avoid contact with HOT components. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves to avoid personal injury.
NOTE:
When replacing a steel exhaust rear muffler insulator with an aluminum exhaust rear muffler insulator, the aluminum exhaust rear muffler insulator must be replaced in pairs.
- Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series) - Remove
- Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement - Remove
- Cut the flared section of the exhaust rod at the location shown.
- Exhaust Rear Muffler Rear Hanger Fastener - Remove
- Exhaust Rear Muffler Insulator - Remove
NOTE:
The exhaust muffler rod must be cut prior to removing the exhaust rear muffler insulator to avoid damage to the rubber insulator.
